Shunya - The significance of the insignificant

If we think of Shunya as a number, we will translate it into Zero in English and it may seem that Shunya means nothing. However, Shunya has a more deeper meaning. As a number, Shunya may have a zero value but when added to any other number, it can add a massive value to that number. Hence, it may sound like Shunya does not have a value, but its just a perception. If we think about the origin of Universe, before big bang, there was nothing in the universe. Everything was created out of nothing/Shunya. In the same way, Shunya initiative is aimed to create a new universe of tools and apps. In religion and spirituality, Shunya is described to be a state of Nirvana. Its a state when you have zero ego. Once your ego is gone, you are part of energy (Shunya) which created the Universe. The two hands at the top of page represent the Shunya Mudra in Yoga.
